Life & Legacy Protection

Protect what you built. Pass down what matters.

Life insurance isn't just death benefit. Structured right, it's tax-advantaged growth, a private tax-free bucket, a way to leave your family whole, and permission to actually spend down what you've built. We coordinate all four.

The three jobs life insurance actually does

More than a death benefit.

Most people think of life insurance as one thing: a payout when you die. That's job #1, and for families with young kids or a mortgage it's the most important thing life insurance ever does. But properly structured life insurance can also do two other jobs — and those are the conversations most agents never have with their clients.

The three jobs

What life insurance can do — beyond the death benefit.

01

Family protection

If you died tomorrow, would your family stay in the house? Could your spouse retire on time? Would the kids' college get paid? For most families under 55 with a mortgage or dependent kids, term life is a no-brainer — huge coverage for very little money.

02

Tax-advantaged growth

Permanent life insurance with a properly structured cash-value component grows tax-deferred. Loans against the cash value come out tax-free. For high earners maxing out 401(k) and Roth options, this can be the "third bucket" that gives real tax diversification.

03

Permission to spend

Tom Hegna says it best: "Spend your money. Leave your kids life insurance." A guaranteed death benefit gives you the freedom to actually enjoy your retirement money — knowing your kids and spouse still land whole regardless of how much you spend on that boat, that trip, or that time with grandkids.

What we work with

The right tool for the right job.

Term Life

Big coverage, small monthly cost, fixed term (10, 20, 30 years). For income replacement during working years — mortgage, kids, spouse.

Best for: Working-age adults with dependents.

Whole Life

Guaranteed death benefit for life, guaranteed cash-value growth, guaranteed premium. Slower growth, higher premium, but everything's contractually locked in.

Best for: Conservative savers who value guarantees.

Cash-Value Life

Growth linked to market indexes with a floor to prevent losses. Loans against cash value can come out tax-free. Complex product — must be structured properly to deliver what it promises.

Best for: High earners looking for a tax-free retirement bucket.

Long-Term Care Riders

Hybrid life-plus-LTC products let you use the death benefit early for long-term care if needed. If you never need LTC, your family still gets the death benefit. "Use it or leave it," instead of traditional LTC's "use it or lose it."

Best for: Late 50s—60s planning for care needs.

One promise

We're not chasing commissions.

Life insurance is a category that has been oversold for decades. We shop the entire market for the specific structure you need. If your existing policy already does what it needs to do, we'll tell you that and leave it alone. If a $200/year term policy is all you need, we won't try to sell you a $2,000/year permanent policy.

Ready to review what you have — or what you don't?

Bring your existing policies. We'll read the fine print, tell you what they actually do, and honestly assess whether they're still the right fit. If you don't have coverage, we'll help you figure out how much you actually need. No pitch. No pressure.
